Assistance with Medical Bills

We know the loss of a baby not only has an emotional toll on your life, but also a financial one. Mend Your Heart Foundation has partnered with The Karis Group, a patient advocacy company, who will work on decreasing the out-of-pocket or patient owed portion of your medical bills. 
 
The Karis Group has agreed to offer their patient advocacy services free of charge for all mothers who have experienced the devastation of losing their baby through late term miscarriage, stillbirth or early infant death. Although there are no guarantees, The Karis Group will work on your behalf to lower your medical bills.  If you DO NOT have insurance, we will connect you with The Karis Group right away, so they can start negotiating your medical bills. If you DO have insurance, we will wait until the insurance company has paid their portion of the bill (which is usually 80 percent and takes between 4 and 6 weeks). Once the insurance portion is covered, The Karis Group will try and negotiate your out-of-pocket portion.
